Bar J Chili Parlor and Restaurant is located just under the Rt.123 bridge, outside of the Historic Occoquan District.
Nestled amongst the River walk Shops at 125 Mill Street Suite #101; Bar J is an established Family Style Tex-Mex dining restaurant with a full bar, and a 40 seat patio that over looks the Potomac River. Additional parking is available under the RT. 123 bridge.

Our Story –
Bar J Chili Parlor and Restaurant was originally established in 1981 by co-founders John & Jackie Anderson. It became a family affair when Scott, Kevin, Kathy and Mike helped to build a great family restaurant. (John’s current wife, Betty has been an instrumental part of the Bar J family)
In 1984, with the Texas Chili entry, Bar J, won DC’s Best Chili Cookoff, which put them on the map.
From that point on, using the freshest of ingredients, with the recipe’s created in their kitchen; the menu was expanded with the Tex – Mex selections; bringing only the best to Bar J’s friends and families.
Kathy Anderson, and her son Josh Anderson, on February 22, 2016, brought back that Bar J feeling, with the original menu that so many folks remember
